Non-Immigrant Visas

Other Visas Services

Visas for Medical Treatment

You are required to have a visa to go the United States for medical treatment. In addition to the visa requirements you will be need proof that you will receive treatment in the United States and that you can pay for that treatment.

You may be required to present documentation from both Mexican and U.S. physicians. In the case of experimental treatments or protocols, you will need to show that you have been accepted into the program and, again, that you can pay the necessary fees.

Approved visas are usually issued the same day.

Visa for minors

A laser visa is a combination of a visa and a border-crossing card. There is a worldwide fee $100 USD to process an adult’s application for a US visa. The fee for a child under 14 depends on whether at least one parent has a visa or at least one parent is applying at the same time. This fee is $13 USD. Otherwise the infant must pay the adult’s fee ($100USD).

In addition to the visa requirements, you must submit:

  • Both parents' visas (if they have visas)
  • An original or a certified copy of the minor's birth certificate
  • Fill out the visa application in the minor's name.
  • The minor's current passport
  • One photo, passport size in color.

One of the parents will have to come in person.

Visa for domestic employees

People who wish to apply for a Visa for their maids, nannies, chauffeurs, etc., will have to accompany their employees to the Consulate for an interview. In addition to the visa requirements, the following documents must be presented:

  • The employers' passports and visas
  • Employee's current passport
  • Employers' documents (original bank statements, etc.) to prove that they can afford to travel with servants
  • A letter signed by one of the employers identifying the servant by their position, years of service, salary, purpose of the trip (help the family with the children, etc.) and stating that they --the employers-- will cover all the expenses.

Under these circumstances, the servant can only travel in the company of his/her employers. (Approved visas are issued the same day; during the holiday season, appointments are scheduled several days after the phone call. If you wish to travel to the United States during the holiday season, please call to make your appointment at least two days prior to your expected travel date).

Remember: One of the employers must accompany the employee during the visa interview.
