If you would like to study in the United States, you will need a special visa. You must apply with either the I-20(for an F-1 visa) or DS-2019(for J-1 visa), The form is issued by the institution at which you plan to study. You must also show evidence of financial solvency to prove the ability to pay for studies and living expenses in the U.S. If you qualify for a visa, you will get the visa the same day (if possible) and it is attached to the Mexican Passport. You must have a valid Mexican Passport. If you try to get an appointment for your student (F-1) or exchange visitor visa (J-1) through our telephone appointment system (01- 00-849-4949) and the next available appointment is not until after the commencement of the program, contact us directly by email hermoniv@state.gov and we can arrange for an earlier appointment.
