Requirements for Groups/Persons seeking performance visas (P visas)
Before the consulate will schedule a visa appointment, the band must deliver a complete information package that includes:
- CVs for each member of the group/band including: instrument, time with band, previous bands, salary/percentage paid.
- Performance schedule for the US including: Dates, locations, and points of contact, copies of contracts.
- Contact information for manager, promoter, and all other related band management staff in both U.S. and Mexico.
- Publicity information including newspaper articles, billboard charts, discography, etc.
- A listing or schedule of all performances for the past 2 years and a detailed listing of income earned by the band from record sales and performances for the previous 2 years. A band should be able to demonstrate that they have had a history of financial success in the previous years. For bands that have performed in the United States previously, they should submit proof of payment of all U.S. taxes
