Visa Fee>
All visa applicants must pay a non-refundable processing fee of $131 US dollars. The official exchange rate used by the Embassy, all Consulate Generals and all Consulates in Mexico is currently 14.50MXN Pesos to $1.00USD. Therefore the amount owed is 1,900 MXN Pesos. This amount can be paid at any BANAMEX branch before the appointment. Your original receipt must be presented the date of your appointment.
All Mexican nationals under 15 years of age may in some cases qualify for a discounted rate. If they are applying for a Tourist Visa and their parents already have a 10 year, multiple entry tourist visa (Laser visa, BBBCV or B1/B2) or if their parents are applying for a tourist visa with them, they may pay the equivalent in pesos of $13 US dollars to apply for a visa (189 Mexican Pesos). Note that this visa will expire in ten years or when the child reaches the age of 15 whichever come first. Regardless of his/her age, parents may choose to you pay the full fee of $131 USD for their child under 15 and the minor may obtain a full validity visa of ten years.
If you are not a Mexican national, you should check the Visa Reciprocity Tables to see if there is a visa issuance reciprocity fee you must pay. Please keep in mind that the amount of that fee will depend on the validity of the visa you are issued. These fees are to be paid on your interview day and they can be paid in US Dollars, Mexican Pesos or by credit card at the Consulate General.
