Passports Now Required for American Travelers to Mexico

The Sonora Office of Tourism has set up special numbers for use by tourists to report emergencies register complaints, or make other inquiries. From the U.S. the number is 01-800-476-6662, and from within Mexico it is 01-800-716-2555. |
The Western Hemisphere Travel Initiative requires all travelers, U.S. citizens and foreign nationals alike, to present a passport or other document that denote identity and citizenship when departing from or entering the United States by air between the United States and Canada, Mexico, Central and south America, the Caribbean, and Bermuda.
